Transfigure Photography ethos is to find the converging line between the world of film, fine art and commercial photography and bound all those agents together to cook up a dream and add it to a reality. I work with an idea, visualise it and create it. Transfigure Photography says as much about me than the name denotes. I have metamorphosed myself from a snapshot photographer to a professional photographer, photographing many different subjects, from seascapes, portraiture, to monster dump trucks.

Photography for me is walking hand in hand with film making, converging the demand for creative exploration and pushing the boundaries in liberating client’s realities to give their photo shoot a new perspective digitally.

I just don’t use my camera to take photographs I work, blend and arouse, still and moving images.

I'm available for commissioned work.

Gallery Visits

In recent years I have travelled a lot to photograph landscape, seascapes, and architecture. When I visit these cities I always make time to visit an art exhibition gallery.

Art galleries open their doors to all visitors. Whether you are a historian, art collector, tourist, or you want to get out of the rain you can go to an art gallery to learn.

When I visit an art gallery, I want to learn more about art and expand my cultural knowledge. This reason already justifies any visit to an art gallery, and pay to enter, but for those who still hesitate, it may be useful to specify the benefits.

Art galleries depend largely on visitor attendance. They, therefore, need to be interesting destinations for anyone wanting to spend time in the city. Galleries sometimes offer events with free access. These may include special openings, presentations, guided tours of art exhibitions.

For a person who wants to have fun, it’s a convenient way to enjoy all the artistry for free.

Guided tours are the most frequent event organised by galleries. But, this is not the only opportunity you have to learn about art. On the contrary, galleries organise workshops for those interested in painting, sculpture or other forms of art. These workshops can be free with very limited staff or pay.

Do not hesitate to take part … you could discover an unsuspected talent for the arts for example.

Expand your cultural horizons

For me personally, I enjoy seeing art close up and to feel the vibe of the gallery. Yes, often children run around, but the volunteers or the guides keep them in check. Visiting an art gallery, isn’t just for the elite nowadays, its for all. Unfortunately some art galleries you have to pay, others are free. One thing is for sure, you will learn a great deal and take a memory back home with you.

These blogs below, of the different art galleries I’ve visited, will only show a proportion of what can be seen. My choices of art might be completely different from your choices. This is why art galleries have a great choice.
