Transfigure Photography ethos is to find the converging line between the world of film, fine art and commercial photography and bound all those agents together to cook up a dream and add it to a reality. I work with an idea, visualise it and create it. Transfigure Photography says as much about me than the name denotes. I have metamorphosed myself from a snapshot photographer to a professional photographer, photographing many different subjects, from seascapes, portraiture, to monster dump trucks.

Photography for me is walking hand in hand with film making, converging the demand for creative exploration and pushing the boundaries in liberating client’s realities to give their photo shoot a new perspective digitally.

I just don’t use my camera to take photographs I work, blend and arouse, still and moving images.

I'm available for commissioned work.

Martin Parr – A Photographic Journey

Martin Parr (born 1952) is one of the world’s most famous photographers. His international breakthrough came with “chronicler of our time” in the mid 1980s with the series ‘Last Resort’, in which he photographed British beach holiday scenes.

I choose to visit the exhibition at the Kunst Haus Wien Vienna because, during my visit to Nice, France last year (2015), I had visited Martin Parr exhibit in Le Theatre de la Photographie“, Nice, France and I loved the humour in the photographs.

The exhibition in Vienna did not disapoint me and I chuckled to myself many times. The exhibit entitled Cakes and Balls (2015/16) a new photo series about Vienna, deals with clichés and classics of the Austrian capital. Parr photographed at the Prater, Vienna’s many balls and coffee houses, a mouth watering sea of Patisserie of Konditorei Aida.

Martin Parr directs our attention consciously on the strange and absurd sides of everyday life – on the unspectacular, Normal, on those marginal areas of our daily lives, often remain unnoticed. His photographs tell unadorned from the center of our society and underline, in their ironic distance, time and again on the excessiveness of the consumer society.

Parrs constant photographic examination of different social groups and their peculiarities leads him to different places geographically and typologically. His imagery lead us classic tourist destinations as well in mind as rural club cultures, dance halls of all kinds or the aesthetics of traditional photo studios.
